Since 1980s, 4-5 World Bank loan projects in forest sector have been carried out by our country, of which the first one to implement forest science and technology research result extension was National Afforestation Project and a great amount of experience has been accumulated.
With this method,the author determined the optimum rotation of main species whichbelong to“National Forestation Project”of NAP in Yunnan as follows:9 years for Eucalyp-tus,18 years for Cunninghamia lanceolata,19 years for Pinus armandi Franch and Pinuskesiya var.langbianensis,21years for Pinus yunnanensis,the result is close to the rotationwhich was determined by the method of data mature in population design and provided are-liable basis for managing the project of Yunnan province.
