An investigation of the effect of preoxidation treatment and preoxidation with surface-applied CeO_2 on the hot corrosion behavior of HK40 alloy was electrochemically carried out in 75％ Na_2SO_4+25％NaCl melt at 800℃. The free corrosion potential (F_(corr)) and polarization resistance (R_p) were measured, and the corrosion current density (I_(corr))was calculated by polarization curve fitting technique.

The corrosion resistance, composition and structure of Ti(Ⅳ) compound modified passive films formed in low concentration of chromate solution were studied by means of polarization resistance measuring, neutral salt spray test and SEM, XRD, XPS, and the effect of Ti(Ⅳ) ion on the protective mechanism of low chromate passive film was also discussed.

The electrochemical test shows that the electrode polarization resistance of alloy coat steel wire is much stronger than that of the steel wire galvanized by dipping, however, the self-corrosion current of the electrode of alloy coat steel wire is only about 1/3 of that of galvanized steel wire.

Following is concluded:non-crystalline Ni-19.2P alloy has good corrosion resistance because of its high stable potential,polarization resistance and reaction impedance.

The analysis of membrane fouling show that the the resistance of membrane module consist of three parts: the natural resistance, the membrane fouling resistance and the concentration polarization resistance.

The resistance analysis showed that the cake layer resistance Rc(38.6%),the resistance increase △Rm(26.9%)and concentration polarization Rp(22.8%)were the main resistance composition.

Experimental results showed that membrane yield was high and polarized resistance on membrane surface was low when the concentration of emulsified oil in feed wastewater(about 10mg/L)was low;

It could be proved that W(i) was linear with t(i). Moreover, with its slope Kand intercept B, the real static overpotential E∞ could be calculated. Furthemore, owing to the linear relationship between In[E∞-E(i)] and t(i), the parameters R1,Rp and Cd could be calculated through its slope K' and B'.

It can be used to evaluate the corrosion resistance of coated metals by coulostatic perturbation method. Important parameters such as R_p,R_f,C_u,C_f and R_s can be obtained in experiment with only for once weak polarization.

The circuit parameters (the time constant τp and the polarization resistance Rp) determining the rate of metal corrosion are calculated.

The effect of these surfactants on active corrosion of lead in acetic acid solution, as well as correlation between the inhibition coefficient and the free energy of adsorption Δ(Ga0)γ, is studied by measuring the polarization resistance.

The polarization resistance of integrator, electrolyte conductivity, electrolyte decomposition voltage, and residual current of integrator were determined in a wide range of temperatures by the method of rectangular pulse and cyclic voltammetry.

The adsorption step is shown to significantly contribute to the polarization resistance on the hydrogen electrode in a carbonate melt.
