This paper, taking the development of 200 GZC Diesel Engine for example, introduces to you the analytical method by finite elements in exploring thermo-load of the piston, including piston temperature field, thermal deformation, numerical value calculation and analysis of various stresses and the criticizing of the reliability of piston construction as well. For thormo-load of the piston is the main barrier in supercharging diesel engines to further raise their power. Besides, this paper explains the handling method of boundary conditions, states the influence of the medium temperature on thermo-load of the piston in the course of calculating variable parameter, and finally finds distributing curves of piston temperature field, general deformation and different stresses, thus providing references for piston design and piston thermo-load research by finite elements. Calculation is carried out on DJS-6 electronic computer.
