The concentration of dissolved oxygen (DO), pH value and primary productivity (P/R) of pond water were detected. The result indicated that 100 mg/L oxytetracycline could irreversibly ruin the pond ecosystem. 20 mg/L and 4 mg/L oxytetracyline could temporarily affect those parameters, which returned to normal in two or one week. 0.8 mg/L oxytetracycline did not cause any detectable effects on those parameters.
