The concept of network and matrix of information granule are presented at first. The method of information retrieval in fuzzy control system based on information granulation and computing with words is then developed. An example demonstrated that this method is available.

A new type of fuzzy controller based on information granulation and computing with words is presented in this paper. It extend the structure of general fuzzy controller. The setpoint and control law of the controller can also be changed in a wide range. It is shown that the controller has a good future in application.
