Changing the traditional perspective in teaching and learning has become a focal point for current educational reform in the university. But there is still a lack of research on why we should change the traditional perspective and how new perspectives could help to solve the problems in university teaching and learning. This paper addresses the issue by considering the relationship between learning outcomes and teaching process, the cooperative nature of teaching, the role of the teacher in the students' learning process, the characteristics of knowledge and knowledge-construction, the methodology for learning assessment, and the ecology of teaching and learning in the university.

Such changes make impacts on research and practice of effective teaching, which changed correspondingly from the behavior product with teacher-oriented to the cognitive construction with student-mediation-oriented, and to the situated cognition with ecology-oriented. Different perspectives suggest different principles and strategies reflected on the practices such as designing learning environment, formulating curricula, and constructing assessments. Each perspective is valuable, they have influenced educational practices significantly in distinctive and complementary ways.

学习理论的每一次变革都对有效教学的研究与实践产生了不同程度的影响。学习理论从行为取向到认知取向再到情境取向的变革,使有效教学呈现出相应的发展趋势:从为行为结果而教学的教师中心取向,到为认知建构而教学的学生中介取向,再发展到为情境性认知而教学的生态化取向。不同取向的教学在学习环境的创设、课程的编制以及教学效果的评估等环节各有不同的教学原则与策略,在实践中各具独到作用,彼此又具有互补性。

As the development of ecology, the research of class teaching is given more views and methods. But the ideal image by many people talking about the ecology of class teaching is specious. Especially in China today, ecology of class teaching means diversification but uniform.

生态学的发展为课堂教学研究带来了新的视角和方法论。但人们在谈论课堂生态时往往带着一些似是而非的关于最终模式的想像。在后工业回归自然的潮流中,中国作为工业文明时代的追赶者,其教育思想和教育制度的变革承受着历史和现实的双重压力。适合当今中国的课堂教学生态是多样化的、有着巨大的地区差异的。
