Based on the micro-amplitude vibration equation of friction pendulum systems FPS, the steady-state random responses of FPS to Gaussian white noise actions are forecasted by means of the equivalent nonlinear system method. The obtained analytical solution indicates complex non-Gaussian distribution characteristics of the angle of rotation and its velocity of FPS.

摩擦摆系统(FPS)的微幅振动方程,运用等效非线性系统法预测了FPS系统对高斯白噪声激励的稳态随机响应。所得解析结果表明,体系滑动转角和速度响应具有复杂的非高斯分布特征。

Based on the equivalent linear method,the analytical solution of the joint probability density funvtion of steady_state responses of friction pendulum system to Gaussian white noises is derived.The results compared with Monte Carlo simulation show that the analytical solution can well forecast the probability distribution of the steady_state random responses of friction pendulum system.

Based on the vibration equations of FPS-isolated structures, considering the sliding friction coefficient of FPS bearings as the function of the sliding velocity of FPS, the influence of the parameters of FPS on the maximum seismic responses of a base-isolated structure is studied by numerical simulations. The results indicate that FPS bearings have good capacity of isolating horizontal earthquake actions.
