In this paper, by using the state-space method of modern control theory, thedynamic behavior of single or multi slage gear systems has been investigated. Theinfluences of torsion stiffness in connecting shafts and phase conditions in mesh of gearteeth on dynamic behavior of these systems have been studied. The calculated resultsare in agreement with experiments on special gear test stand.
