[1]), which was developed for the calculation of a simitar wake behind the non-heated body, is modified to handle the present cases with heat transfer effects between the heated body and its wake flow. Therefore, modification to the semi-empirical analysis in Ref. [1] is made to describe how temperature field of the wake influences its velocity field. Information concerning the influence of heating on drag coefficient of the body is inferred from the wake centerline velocity.

The heated extract from mouse hyperplastic liver induced by phenobarbital sodium (5~200mg/L) significantly stimulated the incorporation of 3H-TdR in human L 02 liver cell line, and inhibited the killing of 5-Fu on the cell line. The activity of the heated extract was eliminated by the pretreatment with trypsin. The results showed that phenobarbital itself was not a mitogenic drug in the L 02 cell culture and the induction of hepatic proliferation by phenobarbital was related to local humoral factor in mouse liver, which was an intrinsic protein or peptide substance.
