The relation between phytase activity and seed germination is reported in this paper. The remits showed that phytase activity played an important role during seed germination. When phvtase activity was enhanced, the seed could be bud, or it did not germinate even if in the suitable conditions such as water, temperature and so on. The results affor us a useful evi-dence of endogenous factors of seed germination.

Each diet was provided to 12 pigs (3 pigs/replicate) ad libitum. A P, calcium, and protein balance trial was conducted at 50 kg BW of the pigs....

Each diet was provided to 12 pigs (3 pigs/replicate) ad libitum. A P, calcium, and protein balance trial was conducted at 50 kg BW of the pigs. The gain and feed intake of the pigs resulted from supplementary MP or WB were similar to those from IP (P>0. 05), but significantly higher than the control (<0. 05). The fecal P excretion was reduced 41% (P<0. 05) and 10% (P>0.05), but the apparent digestibility of the dietary P was increased for 14 (P<0. 05) and 7 (P>0.05) percentage unit by MP and WB,respectively. WB inclusion also significantiy enhanced the apparent digestibility of the dietary protein (P<0. 05), The results showed that MP and WB could substitute for the effects of inorganic P in growing deits. The high phytase activity in WB produced the beneficial results to pigs.

The commonly-used plant feedstuffs were determined for their phytase activities under the condimon of pH 5.0.37℃ and 15 minutes reaction time.The results showed that the phytase activity m corn,soybean meal.rapeseed meal,barley,wheat,and wheat bran(WB)was 183,204,334,1287,1454,and 2349PU/g dry matter respectively.The phytase in WB lost 7% of its activity when it was heated at 60 or 80℃for one hour,but the activity lost by 60% at 100℃
