The authors suggest that this anode might be ready for use in various environments if further perfected in shape and size.

The performance and characteristics of three main kinds of sacrificial anode materials were introduced. Development of sacrificial arodes, especially Al alloy anode for suiting the needs of corrosion protection in production was reviewed. The outline of design and the application of sacrifical anodes in marine environments, fresh water systems and soils were also mentioned and discussed.
