In this paper, research has been made on the number of the contact-teeth for small difference in numbers of teeth in involute internal gear pair before and after its being acted upon by a force. The test data show that, when transmitting a force, the number of the contact-teeth acted upon is greater than the virtual contact ratio ε, and is much greater than the theoretical contact ratio ε_α.
