鄂西九女磷矿的矿层位于高山之下,倾角7°—10°,厚2 m左右,采用房柱法开采。由于大面积空场的存在,地压活动明显。为了防止大规模地压活动,采用爆破崩顶,声发射技术及其它手段监测崩顶过程。结果,成功地消除了空场,控制了冒落范围,并作出了预报,保证了采矿的安全,取得了明显的社会、经济效益。
