The photocurrent-to-dark current ratio of indirect coupling phototransistor is compared experimentally with that of conventional phototransistor. The same PN junotion which converts the optical signal into the electrical one is used by both phototransistors. The experimental results express that the photocurrent-to-dark current ratio of the former is about two orders of magnitude larger than that of the latter, showing the advantage of the photosensitive device with injection model.

In this paper,we advanced a new conception called indirect coupling, and found the injection photsensor. The coupling coefficient is to be discussed in detail.The experimental reults indicated that the SNR (signal -to-noise ratio) of the injection photosensor is about two orders of magnitude larger than that of the ordinary photosensor.It shows that the injection photosensor has many practical uses.
