The simulation results carried out on PC104 computer with a CPU of 33MHz show that the generation time of convex polygon in any field is less than 5ms. The star pattern identification rate based on convex polygon is more than 99% with stronger robustness.
Taking account of this importance from the match mode of string, first passing star map through high-pass filter, then a nautical star database established with 0 and 1 method, star map recognition is carried out by KMP algorithm.
Simulation results show that the three-star-map dividing algorithm requires less precision of star sensors and is more efficient in the star map recognition ratios by contrast to traditional two-star-map dividing algorithm.
A novel star map recognition algorithm is proposed. According to the observation accuracy of star sensor, the algorithm eliminates observation error of star triangle before recognition and codes the error-free star triangle to form characteristics quantity.
