The author puts forward some concrete suggestions concerning the upgrading and rational work division of the major marshalling yards in 9 large junctions; and the coordination of station capacity and line capacity as well as equipment modernization in accordance with the problems such as the inadequate location of marshalling yards in the railway network, insufficient number of their tracks and their lower capacity.

This paper illustrates the necessary rhythm of train arrival and decom- position in harmony with section carrying capacity. For this purpose, a new integrated computer simulation process is carried out.
