Betulinic acids are a kind of natural product with anti-HIV-1 virus and anti-tumor activity extractable from a lot of plants. They include betulinic acid,23-hydroxy betulinic acid, betulin, and others.
Objective: To observe the influence of 23- hydroxyl betulinic acid(23-HBA) on the proliferative, migratory ability and morphological change of blood vessel endothelial cell line ECV-304. Methods:SRB method was used to evaluate the inhibition rate of 23-HBA on ECV-304. Agar was used to evaluate the diversion ability of endothelial cell in vitro.
By FCM methods, the apoptotic rates of LoVo cells were 11.32%±0.92%, 19.23%±0.78%, 24.51%±5.88%, 42.22%±2.32%, after treatment of 23-hydroxybetulinic acid at concentrations 25, 50, 100, 200 μmol·L-1, which showed obvious concentration-dependent relationship.
