The comparation of this method with zinc reduction method was made by hydrigen isotope analysis in water samples.The results from two methods are in agreement. The new method gives a precision of 1.5 ‰ ( σ ), which is better than commonly used zinc reduction method (2‰, σ ). The short reaction time (10 min) of the new method suggests a very high efficiency and the simplified reaction vessel allows a wide application.
