This paper expounds the significance of broad sense understanding of reforming existing fuzes by using new high technology so as to expect more and more technicians to participate in fuze redesign engineering,and points out that scientific cognition methods should be had in mind before doing a scientific design and describes the necessity of knowing the concept and principle reflected by its structure.Practical examples are given in this paper,which show how to use desigh methodology in fuze redesign so that fuze designers can give rein to creative thoughts,study and select a scnentific design method purposefully,thus making a contribution to the fuze redesign engineering.
