Isoperoxidases ionically or co-valently bound to the cell wall and the free wall peroxidase fraction in mature leaf and secondary phloem were isolated by polyacrylamide gel slab electrophoresis. The results showed ignificant differences in the patterns of the enzymes ionically wall-bound fsnd of the free wall fraction and an identity in co-valently wall-bound aorms between the two organs.
