This paper describes the chief types of foreign industrial explosives. They are dynamites, amatols, ammonium nitrate fuel oil explosives and aqueous explosives, etc. Some important explosive characteristics snch as strength, density, velocity of detonation, detonation pressure, fume characteristics, and water resistance are described briefly and how these characteristics are traditionally marked by foreign manufacturers.

In this paper,it has introduced the process of transition and development of industrial explosives from dynamite in 1866 to present ANFO and containing water explosives as well as the functions and types of common expolsives in Japan.The demands trend and variation of types of industrial expolsives,with the charge of domestic industrial structures and developments of technology in Japan have been briefly described.

介绍了日本工业炸药从1866年的代那买特炸药到现在的ANFO炸药、含水炸药的转变和发展过程以及常用炸药的品种、性能,概述了随着日本国内产业结构的变化和技术的发展,各需求部门工业炸药用量的变化。
