In this paper, the alkali reduction kinetics in the blast furnace slag containing fluorine has beenstudied and the test program was planned by second degree regression orthogonal method. Accordingto the test results, it is shown that increasing the slag basicity, slag temperature and content of CaF_2in the slag may promote the reduction of alkali oxide. Based on the mathematical treatment of theseresults the regression equation has been given. It may be used to calculate the reaction rate consta-nts for reduction...

Based on the mathematical treatment of theseresults the regression equation has been given. It may be used to calculate the reaction rate consta-nts for reduction of potassium oxide with different basicity, temperature and CaF_2 content of slag.Based upon the data, it may be concluded that the reduetion of alkali oxide in slag is the reactionof first order and its reaction rate is controlled by the interface chemical reaction. For dealkaliniza-tion reaction, the apparent activation energy has been determined in the range of 35.9--122.8 kcal/moland it is increasing with the decreasing basicity and CaF_2 content in slag. The reaction rate ofpotassium oxide is greater than sodium oxide by 8.8 times. The authors of this paper have suggesteda rational formula to express the total alkali load in blast furnace. By systematic analysing of thetest results, a mathematical statistics model to calculate the circulating alkali store in furnace hasbeen established.

Many geologists and geophsicists have paid much attention to the design and application of lithologic exponential template. The foreign oil companies that participate in oil exploration in South China Sea mainly use mathematical statistical method, scatter plots and corresponding point value method in compiling lithologic exponential template, while Chinese geophysicists generally adopt scatter plots and corresponding point value method. When the quality and quantity of original data are satisfactory, all these methods can produce good results. Some notable matters relating to value election and calculation in compiling the template are pointed out in this paper.

岩性指数量板的编制和应用,已为广大的地质、地球物理工作者所关注。目前,参与我国南海工作的外国公司,在编制岩性指数量板时,主要采用了数学统计法、散点法和对应取值法。而国内多偏重于对应取值法和散点法。当基础资料的数量和质量较好时,这些方法都能取得较为满意的效果。本文指出在编制量板过程中,有关取值及计算方法上一些值得注意的问题。
