This paper introduces the main characters that a realtime application distinguishes from an animation, and describes the characters and module functions of Vega. Creator and Lynx functions are introduced simply as well as the relationships between Vega, Creator and Lynx. The main process of creating a 3D realtime application is described as an emphasis. Applying VR technology to Science & Technology Exhibitions could make them more immersible, interactive, interesting and educative. Because of the increasing requirement of the VR Science & Technology Exhibitions and the variability of VR scene, the idea of template was introduced into the scene organization mode-Scene Tree, and the IDE-Scene Editor was implemented based on VR Platform for Science & Technology Exhibitions (AndShow_VRToolKit), which would improve efficiency of creating scene and reduce the difficulty of coding to create scene. In the Scene Editor, the node templates of sound, entity, light etc were assembled, collocated and managed. Then the template file was created which included the scene information. The system interpreted the template file and reproduced the visual scene. The result has proved the application value of template-based visual scene editor.

The Geographical Information System(GIS) is facing increasing application requirement,with the mention of the new terms like CyberSpace and CyberCity.The technologies of GIS also have gone through reforms from 2D planet to 3D stereoscopic system.These reforms make the 3D visualization,audio etc.as core foundation of the system,and extend the way of information expression.This paper studies integration of 2D map and 3D virtual scene in the network environment and designs specific methods and propositions to settle a good deal of issues in the process of integration.It has great significance for perfecting the theory of GIS and the GIS industry development.For settling issues of data fast transmission in the process of integration of web electronic map and 3D virtual scene,the paper focuses on many kinds of schemes for alleviating network bottleneck and simplifying data complexity,such as:multilevel storage for spacial data,network data streaming compress,vector data and grid data integration,the way of textures modeling and the concept of prototype database of model etc.These would establish foundations for further researches.
