The preliminary results of the studies on behavior kinectics of PRV in protoplasts isolated from various resistant papaya varieties (species) and the effect of the culture temperature on the replication of PRV in protoplasts isolated from Carica papaya var. F1,showed that PRV-Ys strain could multiply not only in the protoplasts of the host plant,but also in those of non-host one. In the present study it was also found that the culture temperature affect not only the extent of multiplication of PRV in proto- plasts,but also the viability of protoplasts infected and the response of resistance to the infection of the intact plants by PRV. Otherwise, the replication inocubation periods of PRV-Ys and PRV-Vb strains in protoplasts isolated from C.papaya var.F1 bad not distinct difference.
