First,the conception of dominant converted wave is presented according to a large amount of AVO curve analysis and its pattern and optimum gatheringrange are determined.Second, the distinquishing of converted wave is discussed in seismicrecords and profiles. Third, one-step method of common conversion point (cop) atack is introduced, which can complete reflection point migration, non-hyperbolic moveout and copstack procedures at the same time. Finally, the geological significance of converted .waveseismic section is discussed.

P-and SV-wave reflection coefficients at the incidence of P-wave have been calculated by using the Zoeppritz equation for different types of interfaces, By analysis, the variation of P- and SV-wave shift reflection cocfficients with incident angle is summarized. which is used to guide the design of field acquisition geometry for P-SV converted wave seismic survey. Also, some conclusions are acquired from the converted wave survey test conducted on a work arca of Daqing.

Offshore multiwave multicomponent seismic which is featured by exploration techniques of converted waves has been brought into massive production, resulting in great improvement of imaging quality in areas with poor P wave data and prediction accuracy of reservoirs and hydrocarbon accumulations. However, there is much work to do for use of multiwave multicomponent seismology in land seismic exploration.

随着海上转换波勘探的兴起 ,多波多分量地震技术 (包括激发、接收、数据处理和解释 )得到了很大的发展。目前以转换波勘探技术为主的海上多波多分量地震已进入生产阶段 ,大大改善了某些纵波资料不好地区的成像质量 ,提高了储层和油气预测的精度。陆上多波多分量地震技术正在寻求新的突破 ,以便得到广泛的应用。
