The author has found that a side reaction which can induce the metallic oxides to dissolve partly has been produced in the process of replacement reaction by cupric salt. The side reaction of replacement-inducing is the important factor for the results increased in value. Therefore the separation method of replacement reaction by cupric salt is not suitable for phase separation in the chemical phase analysis of metallurgic products.

An amperometric titration method has been established for the determination of Ir in the presence of Pt, Pd, Rh, Au, Fe, Ni and Zn. Interference of Au~(3+) and Pd~(2+) can be eliminated by displacement of Au~(3+) and Pd~(2+) using active copper powder in the medium of 1mol/L HCl while sterring and heating for 30 min.
