Using various different ways such as the first difference in the frequency domain; the second difference in the frequency domain; the first difference in the time domain and the Laplacian, we can obtain some different character marries from the original character matrix. Then we binarize each element of these matries. In nonlinear time normalization we emphasize varing spectral section by two different weights. Thereby we can obtain various feature matries. On the basis of the experiments two feature marries are selected for the ship-bridge speech recognition experiment system.

This paper discusses problems about pattern recognition of malfunctional vibration signals of cycle-working machines, such as internal combustion engine, turbine engine, etc. and suggests a feature extraction method of higher-order origin moment that has better class separability and lower-dimensional feature vector after having compared the maximum between-sample distance and the minimum expected between-class distance of malfunction signal spectrum, then analysis the relationship between test times and error recognition rate of the "vote way" sequential test that is easy to carry out and presents some results of calculation, finally, describes an analogous experiment on malfunction signal recognition of Speys-511 W engine, by the presented criteria and using TQ-16 digital computer, and it proved the resultsilable.
