Based on factors such as correlated sedimentation, erosion topography, old soils and erosion datum, it is recognized that the history of erosion of loess plateau is a geologic process over a long period of time; erosion is still developing and the variation in quantity of soil eroded with respect to spaceis controlled by natural factors whereas the variation with respect to time is dominated by human activities. Quanity of soil eroded in a gully is dependent of its area and the intensity of erosion.

本文从土壤侵蚀的危害和保护土地资源的重要性出发,系统地总结了近十年来我国土壤侵蚀研究工作所取得的新进展:土壤侵蚀历史过程研究的突破,为决策者提供了有关的历史依据。对人类活动在增加、减少河流泥沙中作用的估计,标志着土壤侵蚀研究已达到新的深度;土壤侵蚀动力机理研究的深化,加深了人们从本质上对于侵蚀现象的认识;一批新数据、新概念的提出,不但增强了人们对土壤侵蚀威胁人类生存危机感的认识,而且对土壤侵蚀研究产生了极其深远的影响。文章还就近十年来土壤侵蚀研究内容、手段、方法方面的成就进行了阐述,指出了研究工作存在的问题。

At last, the author indicated it is a main reason that the complete species, numerous animal and plant with Antarctic characte-ristics, as well as the animal's peculiar foodchain each other in the region made it to become an important biological resourceful area and a special scientific interesting place protected by Antarctica Treaty.
