Toosendanin is a principle extracted from the bark of Melia toosendan Sieb et Zucc. It is used as an ascaricide.Some definite ultrastructural changes were observed in the nerve terminals of the diaphra gmatic neuromuscular junction after intramuscular injection of toosendanin in rats. The changes included a noticeable decrease in the number of synaptic vesicles and an increase in the number of elongated vesicles. Furthermore, it was found that the phagosome-like structure occured frequently and the mitochondria appeared to be more scattered.The results are discussed in relation to the possible mode of action of toosendanin.

The stretched preparation of subcutanous tissue of 120 male rats were observed by means of histochemical methods for separate and consecutive demonstration of norepinephrine and cholinesterase (ChE). In addition to adrenergic nerves, there are acetylcholinesterase (AChE) containing nerves surrounding the small arteries and arterioles. AChE is recongnized as a marker of cholinergic nerves in rat subcutanous tissue. After sympathetic gangliectomy, all adrenergic and most of cholinergic nerves disappeared, we suggested...

The stretched preparation of subcutanous tissue of 120 male rats were observed by means of histochemical methods for separate and consecutive demonstration of norepinephrine and cholinesterase (ChE). In addition to adrenergic nerves, there are acetylcholinesterase (AChE) containing nerves surrounding the small arteries and arterioles. AChE is recongnized as a marker of cholinergic nerves in rat subcutanous tissue. After sympathetic gangliectomy, all adrenergic and most of cholinergic nerves disappeared, we suggested that both of them are terminals of sympathetic postganglionic nerve fibers. Using the method for the consecutive demonstration of norepinephrine (NE) and AChE, it showed a dual innervation at the same site of an arteriole, most of them are superimposed each other, their distribution were just the same; but the other one third were not. The latter is a separate sympathetic cholinergic system. Whether these superimposed terminals were coming from different neurons and travelling in the Schwann cell or they contained two kinds of neurotransmitters in the same neuron terminal were discussed.

This paper presents 26 cases which had been excised and diagnosed by clinical and pathological exminations with in the past 10 years in arthers' hospital. Because this tumor is relatively rare, only 2 cases had been accurately diagnosed before operation. Follow-up of 18 cases showed 4 cases recurred, due to incomplete extirpation, owing to that the tumor was too exensive or alieady had had malignant changes. Although neurilemomma is essentially benign in behavior as stated in documents but there were 4 cases undergome malignant changes this series. So the authers recommend that a neurilemomma should be regarded as a potential malignant tumor, and should be radically excised as early as possible.

大多数周围神经的肿瘤都是Schwann细胞活跃增殖的结果。神经鞘瘤是一种良性孤立性有包膜的特殊类型肿瘤。本文报告我院近10年手术切除及病检确诊的26例(良性22例,恶性4例)神经鞘瘤。由于本瘤较罕见,故术前只2例诊断正确。18例(70%)随访平均62个月。4例(良性3例,恶性1例)于术后短期内复发,均因治疗过晚或已有恶变,或与未能彻底切除有关。虽文献介绍神经鞘瘤基本上都是良性,但本组4例(15.4%)恶变。故作者建议应将此瘤看作是有潜在恶变可能的良性瘤,最好尽早手术切除。
