In accordance to this, some main links should be closely stressed in class teaching ( 40 minutes per class). ① Tracing the problems, let students read and understand the text fully (5 minutes). ② Following that, let students listen to the records of CAI ( computer assisted instrument) carefully and feel the standard pronunciation and speed of language and create an English atmosphere (10 minutes). ③ Reading the text loudly, let students keep the normal speed of reading and understand the text in real time (10 minutes). ④ Based on the key points, let students answer questions in English both in writing and oral presentation (15 minutes). Through the training of these 4 steps above, the ability should be improved gradually in their listening, speaking, reading and writing . It can accelerate the progress in utilization of English.

医学专业英语教学的最终目的,是使医学生能够使用英语表达和交流专业知识、专业技能。为此,专业英语课堂教学应当紧紧围绕“使用”这个中心展开。专业英语的课堂设计(按每节课40分钟计)应当把握以下几个环节:①以问题为线索,充分理解课文(5分钟)。②以听力为突破口,进入英语环境,感受正确的发音和语速(10分钟)。③以朗读促进听力和口头表达,达到朗读速度与理解速度一致,避免脱节(10分钟)。④针对主要内容和问题,进行课堂英语交流(15分钟)。通过上述四个环节的训练,使学生在听、说、读、写几方面逐步提高,努力加快使用英语的步伐。
