Accordingly,design of power plants should also attach importance to the following optimization measures:to calculate energy output according to the efficiency of bulb units,to reduce head loss as much as possible,to select turbine parameters accorcling to the probability concept and to adopt the optimal measures against runaway speed.
In this paper, all the design concept on unit selection, alternative comparison, optimization of turbine parameters and the parameters determination are described respectively based on the higher sediment concentration in Yellow River and the different operation characteristics of these three power stations.
Since Goupitan Hydropower Station takes a very important position in Guizhou electrical power system and the water turbo-generator set has a huge capacity with its complicated technology, it is of great significance to study the operative stability of Goupitan water turbine and define the reasonable parameters as well as the structural model for the water turbine and guarantee the safety stable operation in the long term.
1. According to the actual condition of Goupitan Hydropower Station, the reasonable parameters of the water turbine have been defined based on the study of the operation condition and the character impacted to the stability of Goupitan Station turbine set.
