Synthesized Ce1-xPrxO2 nano-crystalline red pigments from cerium(Ⅲ) nitrate hexahydrate and praseodymium oxide by Low-temperature Combustion Synthesis(LCS). Its ignited temperature was 250℃. A series of praseodymium-doped ceria red pigments was prepared from cerium(Ⅲ) nitrate hexahydrate and praseodymium oxide (Pr6O11) at ignition temperature 250℃by low-temperature combustion synthesis(LCS). The color of Ce1-xPrxO2 pigment obtained varied from pink, red to brown hues, which are based on the amounts of praseodymium. The crystal structure of prepared pigment was investigated by X-ray diffractometry(XRD). The variation of chromatic coordinates and primary wavelength of the pigment were determined. In this study, the influence of praseodymium content,holding temperature and time on the chromatic coordinates of the prepared samples was studied. There is relation between chromatic coordinates, primary wavelength and praseodymium content. The results show that praseodymium enters into the ceria lattice and forms Ce1-xPrxO2 solid solution which are based on the fluorite structure. Therefore, Ce1-xPrxO2 pigment produced the attractive red and pink tonalities. With increase of the holding temperature, the a*and primary wavelength increase and L*decreases. Under the given temperature and different holding time, Ce1-xPrxO2 pigment has the excellent chromatic performance at 1200℃for 2h.

以Ce(NO3)3·6H2O,Pr6O11为主要原料,用低温燃烧合成法在250℃左右点火,合成了从粉红、红色直至棕红的一系列Ce1-xPrxO2(0.01≤x≤0.50)红色稀土颜料。用XRD,CIELab色度仪对产物进行了测试分析,研究了Pr掺杂量、保温温度及时间对其呈色性能的影响。结果表明:不同的Pr掺杂量对该Ce1-xPrxO2红色稀土颜料色度值和主波长均有影响。掺杂后Pr进入CeO2晶格,从而使该颜料呈现出一系列红色。在不同温度下对低温燃烧合成颜料进行热处理,随温度升高,其色度值a*增加,明度值L*降低,颜色逐渐变深,主波长增加。在1200℃下,对该颜料进行不同时间的保温,发现保温2h的呈色性能最佳。

The results show that the trivalent Pr enters CeO2 crystal lattice and forms Pr-CeO2 solid solution, which is based on the fluorite structure. It substitutes trivalent Pr for tetravalent Ce in CeO2 crystal and is compensated by oxygen vacancies. Pr-CeO2 pigments, with average grain size about 16.70 nm, prepared by this method have better crystal structure and red tonality compared with LCS method alone.

以C(eNO3)3·6H2O,Pr6O11为主要原料,利用低温燃烧-水热合成制备了具有纳米晶粒的Pr-CeO2红色稀土颜料。通过XRD,SEM,EDS,XPS对制备出的Pr-CeO2红色稀土颜料进行了测试分析。结果表明:Pr掺杂进入CeO2晶格,形成固溶体,为单一相的萤石型结构。Pr主要是以+3价的形式存在于Pr-CeO2固溶体中,该固溶体中未发现+4价的Pr。水热处理后的颜料粉体晶粒发育更完整,尺寸更均匀,平均尺寸为16.70nm,粉料的呈色性能比水热处理前有明显改善。
