In this article, the effects of the small magnetic field perturbation on the equilibrium of plasma are discussed (the problem of the static stability of plasma). It is pointed out that a large variation in the equilibrium configuration may take place only when the small magnetic perturbations couple with the plasma modes which are almost neutally stable. Accordingly, the effects of the main classes of the stray field in Tokamak devices are analysed.

MHD equilibria of tokamaks with a droplet-shaped cross section (an elliptic cross section with some triangular deformation) have been dealt with in this paper, all equilibrium solution and the current distribution in external coils required by producing the appropriate configuration are presented. The problem of heating the plasma with such configuration by adiabatic compression is discussed, the variation of all the equilibrium configuration with time during the compression is given. The problem of heating the plasma with such configuration by adiabatic compression is discussed, the variation of all the equilibrium configuration with time during the compression is given. Calculations of the equilibrium configurations and the variations in configuration and in pressure during the adiabatic compression have been carried out for several giving current density profiles, some numerical computations are shown in figures.

Combining the MHD equilibrium equation of axisymmetric plasma with a flux sur-face-averaged description of the plasma, the evolutional configurations of adiabatic com-pressional plasma equilibria are computed. The results are consistent well with the analytic scaling laws given by Furth and Yoshikawa. Some results of the configuration evolu-tion for two types of compressional plasma are presented.

本文将轴对称等离子体的平衡方程与它对磁面求平均的磁面平均方程相结合,求出了等离子体平衡位形随时间的绝热演化。计算结果与解析的Furth-Yoshikawa定标律符合较好。文中还给出了两种不同类型磁压缩装置的等离子体位形的演化。
