Global optimization is an attractive current interest. Global optimization is an attractive current interest. To realize a quick and effective global optimization scheme, a new prepotency algorithm and a scheme of repeating prepotency evolution algorithm with chaotic initiation (PECA) are presented and tested in this work. Logistic map as one of the most important chaotic dynamic maps was used to produce the initial populations for the prepoteney evolution algorithm (PEA). It could significantly enhance the potential in terms of maintaining the initial population diversity of PEA. PEA has a higher convergence speed comparing to GA with crossover and mutation operators. During the PEA the distances between members would reduce quickly and all members turn to be almost identical with the potential optimum being found. After many PEA cycles beginning from chaotic initiation, the best optimum of all the PEC cycles in PECA would be the global optimum with great probability. The tests of PECA using designed function reported the PECA could find the only global minimum in a space with totally 3~(15) minima effectively in a very short time. The new scheme of PECA has the great potential to be applied to the optimization involving complicated QSAR studies and the complicated information studies.
