The confined feeding trial was conducted with kids fed concentrates and grass hay to determine effect of dietary supplemental selenium on blood glutathione peroxidase(GSH-Px)activities and tissue selenium concentrations.Kids were divided into five groups. Diets of air dry basis contained 0.03, 0.08, 0.13, 0.23, 0.33 ppm selenium, respectively. Body weight gain and feed/gain ratio at the 0.23 ppm dietary selenium was the best. However, no significant difference was observed among the five groups. Blood GSH-px activity increased with dietary selenium increment, and reached a plateau at approximate 0.23 ppm. This activity was a better criterion to estimate the selenium status of kids. Selenium concentrations of tissues increased as dietary selenium increased. Blood and kidney selenium concentrations at the 0.23 ppm dietary selenium increased more greatly than that at the 0.08 or 0.13 ppm. The result shows that dietary selenium requirement of kids is approximate 0.23 ppm in air dry diet.

(2) with ~(60)Co-γ rays 10 000R,100 000 R and 300000R irradiated,the acrosomal abnormalities of the average percentage of the spermatozoa of W.and S. rams increased 1.49%,0.98%;2,73%,2.16%;3. 06%,-%than control's respectively.(3)The GOT activity of seminal plasma of S.ram radiated with 100000 R by ~(60)Co-γ ray increased 11.78% than control's, but decreased 10.08% than control's with 500R. The results showed that there are stimuliting effects the ram semen were irradiated with low dosages(250R,500R) as the stimuliting effects of the fish and cock especialy with 500R.But when the dosages to the semen are over 10 000R, there are damaging effects on the acrosome of spermatozoa. The influence of the sperm fertlity and the embroy development after low dosage irradiation of semen are still under study.

本研究利用(60)Co—γ射线,五种不同剂量(250R、500R、10000R、100000R和300000R)分别辐照乌珠穆沁公羊和萨力斯克细毛公羊精液,并在辐照后0,2.5,5.0,7.5和10小时分别测定精子的存活率,精子顶体畸型率和精清中GOT酶的活性。测定结果是,(1)两个品种五种剂量辐照后10小时内的精子存活率实验组比对照组平均高4.72%(乌珠穆沁羊、下同)4.79%(萨力斯克羊、下同);7.83%,7.12%;0.84%,2.60%;-0.002%,1.37%;-16%,-%。(2)10000R、100000R和300000R辐照组精子顶体畸型率较对照组高1.49%,1.98%;2.73%,2.19%;3.06%,-%。(3)萨力斯克细毛羊精液经100000R辐照后,精清中GOT酶活性比对照组提高了11.78%。500R组降低了10.06%。结果表明:低剂量(250R、500R)对绵羊精子有刺激作用,特别是500R对精子存活率的影响与鱼、鸡一样的刺激效应。10000R以上的γ射线对精子顶体有损伤作用。低剂量对受精率以及胚胎发育是否有影响有待进一步探讨。

The enzymes of NADP—malat dehydrogenase (NADP—MDN), glucose—6—phosphate (G—6—PHD), and NADP—isocitrate dehydrogenase (NADP—ICDH)activities in adipose tissue (backfat) of Beijing Black pigs (30 pigs for 56 kg bodyweight, 19 for 65KG, 20 for 90 KG and 1/2 male and 1/2 female). NADPH—generating enzymes activities were increased as bodyweight increase (P<0.001). Enzyme activity was three times higher at 90 kg B. W. than at 56 KG B. W. Activities of all NADPH—generating enzymes in pig adipose tissue was one time higher in Beijing Black than in Landrace pigs (P<0.001, at 90 kg B. W., 1/2 male and 1/2 female). Injection of recombinant porcine growth hormone (rP GH) to Beijing Black pigs (30 pigs, 1/2 male and 1/2 female, at 60 kg B. W. ) with 2mg of rPGH/head daily for 28 days, could markedly reduce the activities of all NADPH—generating enzymes in adipose tissue (P<0.01), the fat percentage (21—23%)and stimulate growth. The total activities of the NADP—MDH, G—6—PDH and NADP—TCDH was 20%lower in treatment group than that in the control. The triacetylglycerol (TAG), free fatty acids (FFA) total cholesterol, high—density lipoprotein (HDL), chylomicron (CM) and very high—density lipoprotein (VLDL) contents in serum were higher (p<0.001-0.0005) in Beijng Black than that in landrce pigs at the age of 6 months while the triacetylglyceroi and HDL in serum the triacetylgylcerol and HDL levels of serum in Beijing Black were up with age increased (P<0.0005, for 4—6 months). But conversely, the two indicators of Landrace were down (P<0.05—0.0005). No differences of ages and species were found between the two species of pigs in lipoprtein—electrophoresis and contents.
