Among the components , the total grain number per unit area was the most important to the yield of high yielding field ,and the panicle number was the most im-portant to total grain number per unit area. In high yielding condition, the modle of heading num-ber appeared “1+3+7”,i.e. under the condition of planting 25 hills in 1 m2 and one hill with one seedling, each hill will produce one main stem head, 3 tillering heads emerged during seedling peri-od and 7 tillering heads during early tillering period. More than 95%tillers emerged during seedling period was able to grow to heading. The effective tillers emerged in field-growing period were the ones emerged with the growth of first 4 leaves after transplanting, The end of effective tillering in field was found at the period when 2.0~3. 5 leaves emerged before maximum tiller-ing. The remainder of leaf age after maximum tillering was 2.0~2. 5 leaves, which was equal to the duration from secondary branch differentiation to spikelet differentiation.

Tagged individuals could be identified by the signals from the sonic coded tags. 15 of final sexual mature sturgeon were tagged below Gezhouba Dam at the Yichang reach of Yangtze River in October 1995 and 1996. The scanned area was from the dam to the reach at Yidu City, covering about 50 km in length. All of 10 fish tagged were located in 1996, and monitored their movements of each fish during their pre spawning, post spawning and spawning. The reach was surveyed 4 times each day. 10 of the tagged fish were located totally 573 times. Each of them was successively located for 6~48 days respectively, averaging 19.8 days. The telemetry technique used in Yangtze River could be used to studies on migration, locating breeding sites and spawning requirements of other fishes or aquatic animals in the Yangtze and other rivers.

Quite different from the development of wall intact microspores, the first division of exine dehisced microspores could be symmetric or asymmetric. Both kinds of microspores could lead to embryogenesis. After been transferred to solid medium, the mature embryoids could go on developing, forming secondary embryos or regenerating plantlets directly.
