Combining the example of traversing measurement, a new method, that is the plane surveying, is introduced. It is the total station instrument coordina te traversing measurement. Comparing it to the traditional coordinate traversing measurement with the geodimeter, the conclusion is that the coordinate travers ing measurement with the total station instrument not only has high speed and pr ecision, but also its surveying method and adjustment calculation are simple, an d it is widely applied in engineering...
