A derivation of the Stewart-Hamilton formula is presented which is applicable to all the most usual cardiac output measurement techniques and also to the determination of regional blood flow.

A new method using constrained variational calculus is proposed to study the Hamiltonian structures of soliton equations. As applications of this method, a short proof is given on the fact that the variational derivatives of conserved densities derived from isospeotral problems satisfy the corresponding adjoint representation. Hamilton系理论的形式优美,又富有应用,历来是数学物理研究的中心课题之一.如所周知,量子力学便是基于Hamilton形式发展起来的.从数学上看,Hamilton结构之研究涉及到李群表示论,辛流形等一系列数学分支.在过去十五年中,随着孤立子理论之兴起,非线性演化方程的Hamilton结构之研究成了一个十分活跃的研究课题.有关这方面研究之简述可参见[10]及所附文献. 本文在作者先前工作[4]~[6],[10]~[13]的基础上,提出了用(带)约束(的)变分计算研究孤立子方程Hamilton结构的新方法,它较之先前的应用变分导数链公式方法更为简单有效.作为方法的应用,我们给出了守恒量之变分导数满足共轭表示方程这一重要性质的一个简洁的证明,应用这一新方法我们还发现一个有趣的结果,即在AK~S方程情形,从谱问题引出的守恒流同样可以从与此谱问题相应的共轭表示方程引出.

In this paper, we firstly introduce the conjugate variables into equations, providing Hamilton's formal equations (normalized moving equations), than from the theoretics of the normal transformations,we obtained the asymptotic solutions of the equations. In the last part of this paper we discuss the particular examples, we see that this method not onlyhas simple advantage but also has higher precision.

本文首先引入共轭变量,构造Hamilton函数,提供Hamilton形式的方程组。然后根据正则变换的理论求得方程组的近似解。

Under the inspiration from Edelman's theory of neuronal group selection we propose a model of neural network which is asymmetrical between pre- and post-synapse and then docsn't satisfy Hebbian learning rule and which is multi-layered but has fixed points and Hamiltonian formulation. The model is a generalized version of Hopfield's but retains the simplicity and clarity of the original one.
