The model was used to calculate the effect of various parameters on the ratio of hottest spot to average winding temperature rise.Winding height was found to be the main parameter influencing the ratio,but insulation thickness,the number of conductor layers between ducts were found to have only a minor effect on the ratio.This must be considered in the design of SF6 gas-insulated transformer.
