A detailed algorithm generating the approximate error function and approximate objective function by the error function, and minimizing the approximate objective function instead of minimizing the object function,is derived. Ten numerical examples of minimizing test functions with this algorithm are listed....

Ten numerical examples of minimizing test functions with this algorithm are listed. The efficiency of this method is verified by comparison of the results with those from other techniques. Finally, some limitations of this method are discussed.

    According to the transfer function model reduction for non-minimum phase system, a multi-objective parameter optimization index considering both the magnitude and phase of freqency response is presented, by the means of weighted square sum of frequency error. Using the evolutionary algorithm, the complicated object function is optimized as the classical multi-objective optimization approaches are disadvantagous. An example is given at last to demonstrate its usefulness.
