By means of experiment,authors made a new type of inorganic polymer flocculant, i. e. poly-ferric sil-sulfate (PFSS), determined the iron form by Ferron time by time complexation colorimetry,observed aging time and the effect of Fe3+/SiO2mole ratio upon iron form distribution and conversion patterns.
Inorganic polymer coagulant poly aluminium silicate sulfate(PASS) has been prepared by using sodium silicate and aluminum sulfate as rawmaterials. According to the 3-factor orthogonal test,the conditions of preparing PASS,which has better stability and good coagulating effect,are optimized:ω (SiO2) =1%,pH=3 and copolymerization.

New inorganic polymeric flocculant poly sulfuric chloride ferriferous(PFCS) has been prepared by using dissolving rolling waste steel residue with mixing acid H2SO4-HCl as raw material. The flocculating effect of PFCS has been tested and compared with that of poly sulfuric ferriferous(PFS).
The best flocculation effect is achieved by adopting an inorganic polymeric flocculant PFSS(self-made). Under the condition of pH value within (7.5) to 8.5, the optimum dosage of PFSS is 20 mg/L, the COD_(cr)removal ratio was 68%, and the turbidity removal efficiency was over 89.7%. While, the organic polymer flocculants can synergistic coagulation effects when it is compounded with PFSS.
