This paper reviews the characteristics of energy acquisition and billing automatic system (EABAS) from its threecomponents of master station, remote terminal units and power meter. The shortcomings of measuring and acquiringequipment in EABAS are analyzed. Some functions of those to be considered further for building EABAS are proposed.
