So I study the problem of how efficient storing, management and retrieving the huge medical image data and put content-based image retrieval, database and multimedia technologies together for the study.
With the fast development of Information Technology and improvement of the computer application technology, the new generation of information system for medicine has expanded from the separate HIS(Hospital Information System), RIS (Radiology Information System) into the integrate hospital management information system which including patient information, medical image and the management information in medicine.

Objective:The investigation and exploitation of CAI in medical picture is based on internet or local area network,can meet the demand of image teaching in medical picture,long distance education and further medical study of clinical doctors and also improve the teaching quality,do well the teaching control as well.

In order to satisfy the need of diagnoses, based on the characteristic of medical images that a sequence of frames are formed in one body inspection, a new strategy for medical images compression is proposed.
Medical images are compressed by three-dimensional embedded coding with the compression of regions of interest.
In this paper, we take medical images as an example to analyze this limitation.
One is how to determine the number of clusters in an image and the other is how to segment medical images containing lesions.
