本文以EXXON公司P.R.Vail等人创立的层序地层学理论为准,对华南泥盆系的层序地层进行了区域上的研究、分析、对比。研究结果表明,从下泥盆统的洛赫科夫阶至上泥盆统的法门阶可识别出20~21个Ⅲ级层序。华南泥盆系的岩石地层、生物地层、年代地层的系、统、阶界线均已确定,与层序地层研究结果对比,生物地层界线均比相应的层序地层界线滞后。本文试图以层序地层序列为准,建立一新的地层系统作为相应的生物地层、年代地层的系、统、阶相对应的辅助性地层系统。研究结果表明,在岩石地层、生物地层、年代地层研究程度高的地区,可建立层序地层的系、统、阶界线系统以利于野外作业。华南地区的泥盆系内,除弗拉斯阶与法门阶的阶间界线置于饥饿层(starvedsection)外,其他的阶、统、系界线均位于有关阶(统)顶部层序中的HST的顶面。

A classical Mesozoic thrustbelt lies in the Longmen Mountain area along the western margin of the Yangtze massif, where Devonian strata are widespread and very thick and there are a variety of sediment types, including both the unmetamorphosed stable type and the low-grade nieta-morphic transitional and mobile types.On the basis of the features of the nappes and the relationships between different types of Devonian sediments, it is suggested that the stratigraphic records in the front, middle and back ranges correspond to the stable marginal zone, transitional zone and mobile zone respectively. The Devonian basin in the study area is an asymmetrical rift basin trending NE. In the Early Devonian , the southeastern margin of the basin had a broad and complicated topography produced under the control of contemporaneous faults, which gave rise to complex lithofacies and a variable thickness for the Lower Devonian. In the Middle -late Devonian, the marginal zone became a wide and flat carbonate platform owing to the sea-level rise, whereas the deep-water trough remained parallel to the coastline in the north. The depocentre with deep sea turbidites was located on the west side of the basin and later graded into a shallow-water marginal area.The structure of the Devonian sequence stratigraphy in this area is characterized by a series of asymmetric sequences and a staircase curve of subsidence with two down-concaves, reflecting that the basin was a rift of extensional origin. The formation of the basin might be probably related to crustal extension controlled by a series of imbricate, low-angle, rooted shear faults.

位于扬子地块西缘的龙门山区,是著名的中生代冲断带,其中泥盆系发育,沉积类型多样,厚度巨大,既包括未经变质的稳定型,也包括浅变质的过渡型和活动型地层。根据推覆构造特点和不同类型泥盆系之间的关系,确认前山带、中山带和后山带,分别包含了泥盆纪沉积的边缘带、过渡带和活动带的地层纪录。泥盆纪的沉积盆地则是一个NE向不对称的裂谷盆地,它的东南边缘,早期由于同生断裂的影响造成宽阔而复杂的古地理面貌和岩相、厚度变化。晚期由于海平面上升,沉积区扩大,边缘带成为宽阔平坦的碳酸盐台地,北段仍保留平行岸线的深水槽地,盆地西侧为较深水的浊积岩分布区,而后过渡为边缘浅水区。本区泥盆系的层序地层结构特点,是由多级不对称层序组成,沉降曲线则由两个下凹的曲线组成阶梯状。这些特点说明,该盆地具有伸展成因的裂谷性质,盆地的形成可能与沿着有根的叠瓦式低角度剪切断裂系发育的地壳伸展作用有关。
