Using a method of the spatial frequency filtering by combining the directional filtering with the very low frequency filtering, the desirable optical signals cau be taken out of a considerably complex image. In order to improve the image contrast and to single out the desirable signals in a coherent image enhancement system, a polarizing filter was used. When the relative polarization between the object transparency illumination and the polarizing filter was altered, the low frequency attenuation could be continuously controlled over a wide range of light intensity. Therefore the maximization of the image contrast was easily achieved. We have done the experiment by taking earthquake wave signals out of the background with both high and low frequency. The result obtained indicates that our experiment on the comprehensive spatial frequency filtering is successful.

The comprehensive consideration of the two properties helps to separate out the main energy in seismic wave field consisting of multiple components. In order to improve wave field separation, we consider linearity of particle movement to design a 2-D nonlinear polarization filter in τ-p domain, which enhances the main energy wave field, but reduces and removes other waves and noises. τ-p transform in frequency-space domain need not resample and interpolate raw seismic data, so that the computation is fast and accurate. What is more,this method causes no alias and end point effect when parameters satisfy necessary requirements.

视速度和偏振是地震波的两个重要特性,综合考虑这两个特性,可以对多分量地震波场有效地实现波场主能量分离。为改善和加强坡场分离的效果,根据质点运动的直线性.在τ-p域设计一个二维非线性偏振滤波器,作用于主能量波场,便可压制和消除其它类型的波和噪声,使主能量波场更加突出。在频率—空间域实现τ-p变换,不需要对原始记录进行重采样和插值,因而此算法快而精确;当参数满足一定要求时,还能有效地克服假频和端点效应。
