This paper focuses on the key concept “articulation” to explore its origin, significance and characteristics in terms of Post-Marxism advocated by E.Laclau and C. Moffe in 1980's. It puts forward that the articulation is the key to understand their outer-logic in the theory of antagonism and political identity. The articulation is the concept based on the characteristics of subject position, discourse and construction activity. However, Post-Marxist theory and the theory of articulation could not avoid the shortcomings...

This paper focuses on the key concept “articulation” to explore its origin, significance and characteristics in terms of Post-Marxism advocated by E.Laclau and C. Moffe in 1980's. It puts forward that the articulation is the key to understand their outer-logic in the theory of antagonism and political identity. The articulation is the concept based on the characteristics of subject position, discourse and construction activity. However, Post-Marxist theory and the theory of articulation could not avoid the shortcomings with the trends of upward reductionism and so on. We should explore it deeply and criticize it scientifically.
