The results demonstrate that the effects of heavy metals on nucleic acids metabolism depend on the interaction between the extents of the adaptive responses of plant tissues and the toxic action of heavy metal ions. Metal ion characteristics and the tolerant inducible system of different metabolism that might exist in plants, and the effects of protein metabolism on the adaptive actions of plants were also discussed.

The pathogenicity for 20 strains of Alternaria alternata collectedfrom 10 places in China was tested.The evident differentiation ofpathogenicity between different strains was indicated by both frequencyand severity of brown spot of seedling and detached leaves after in-oculation.The pathogenicity of strains was found to be related to theirperformance of under cultured conditions.The strong virulent strainsshowed slow growth of colony,vigorous extension of aerobic hyphee andweak sporulation,while the weak virulence strains were inverse.Basedon these properties,11weak virulence strains were selected for priorinoculation to tobacco seedling leaves,followed by challenge inocula-tion with 2 strong virulent strains.About 40%—70% systemic protec-tion to tobacco seedlings against brown spot was induced by 9 strains。and of them the strain TAB16 showed highest induced resistance ef-fect.

对我国不同地区烟草赤星病菌(Alternaria alternata)20个菌株致病力的测定结果表明,病菌不同菌株致病力有明显的差异。菌株致病力的强弱与其生长量和产孢量有一定的关系。致病力强的菌株菌落生长慢、气生菌丝生长好、产孢量低,致病力弱的菌株则相反。据此选出11个弱毒株对烟草幼苗作诱导接种,其中菌株 TBA16可明显诱导烟苗对赤星病的抗性,当用菌株 TBA28和 TBA19挑战接种时,抗性诱导效应分别为50%—61%和60%—71.4%。
