Related to the steel braced frame structures in highrise buildings, the dynamic analysis models of the frame element and the brace element are set up considering material nonlinerity and geometry nonlinerity. The nonlinear random seismic response analysis is carried out based on equivalent linearization technique. Numerical examples are given herein, and the second order effects on the statistic values of the structure are discussed under different site conditions and different storeys.
