A near infrared polarimeter developed for the infrared camera OASIS of Okayama Observatory, Japan, is introduced in this paper. A bright ridge of nebulosity centered on the double IRS 1 is highly polarized, while the extended nebulosity is primarily unpolarized. A bright ridge of nebulosity centered on the double IRS 1 is highly polarized, while the extended nebulosity is primarily unpolarized. The polarization pattern reveals two reflection nebulae dominated by IRS 1a and 1b, respectively. Both nebulae show bipolar structures with axes nearly perpendicular to each other. The bipolar nebula illuminated by IRS 1b is oriented along PA~65°, consistent well with the bipolar jet feature traced by H 2 emission. Both the illuminating sources are heavily obscured. A dense disk is found around IRS 1b, with the disk plane perpendicular to the bipolar nebula. IRS 1a may be also associated with an unresolved disk structure, which is oriented in the E W direction, also perpendicular to its nebular extension. The spectropolarimetry of IRS 1 shows a discernible polarization excess across the 3 μm absorption band. A reverse rotation of the position angle in the absorption band is observed.

The system of the multi-band polarization CCD camera is introduced briefly. The inhomogeneity of photoelectric response at CCD sensor array and the inconsistency of photoelectric response at three directions of polarization are analyzed. The method based on radiometric calibration solves the problem of inconsistency. Radiometric correction coefficient is obtained. Consequently the analytic precision of polarization image is enhanced.
