A portable broadband VLF receiver with 56cm air-core loop antenna and automatic realtime calibration has been developed. The system sensitivity is 1.4×10-6 V/m·Hz1/2 (at f=5kHz), and the bandwidth is from 250 Hz to 48 kHz. The simultaneous observations at a number of field stations show that the performance of this system is stable.
